History Television’s Perfect Storms TV series had an ambitious online expansion plan. I was tasked with both creating the visual style and leading creative development of this highly integrated project.

Project overview (via Secret Location)

Working closely with a team of designers, 3D artists and developers, I established a flexible design language that was fluidly applied to all production assets including the TV intro sequence and web experience.

I also concepted and prototyped the online game mechanics, user experience flow, and a personalized teaser video that allowed users to witness their own area being destroyed by powerful storms.

Results

Though my time on this project was short, my work played a major role in shaping the final output. The project was a major success, garnering recognition from FWA and other transmedia-focused blogs as well as an award nomination at The Webbys.
